Dr. Parsa Karimi PT, DPT
Dr. Karimi has been specializing in outpatient orthopedic, sports and home physical therapy since graduating in 2003. Dr. Karimi graduated Cum Laude from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia with a Bachelors’ degree in Health Sciences and Masters’ degree in Physical Therapy. He earned his doctorate degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 2011. Along with his physical therapy degrees, Dr. Karimi has nearly twenty years of weight training experience. Recently, Dr. Karimi wrote the first of his many books to come, How to Choose the Right Physical Therapist – PKL’s Guide to Help You Save Time & Money. His book highlights key characteristics of an effective and true orthopedic & sports physical therapist. It guides people all over the country to avoid ineffective “care” and find the best physical therapist to get results… period! Dr. Karimi is an active member of the Amityville Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce in Amityville as well as a proud member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Along with being the co-founder & president of PKL Physical Therapy & Wellness PC, Dr. Karimi has been the clinical instructor of numerous doctors of physical therapy. He takes great pride in teaching effective physical therapy treatment methods that have helped PKL rise above the rest. He developed an exercise video to help people of all ages build strength, avoid injury and stay fit! (see our PK Fitness webpage for more details) Dr.Karimi plans to teach physical therapy in the near future specializing in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation methods. He is active contributor of articles for Advance Magazine for the Physical Therapist. Dr.Karimi prides himself in helping patients avoid unnecessary surgery and continuous pain medication usage with their unique physical therapy philosophy.

Dr. Diana Field, PT
Diana is a NYS licensed Physical Therapist. She graduated from New York Institute of Technology with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2007. She has been working in the physical therapy field for over 15 years, first as an aide through high school and college and has been a physical therapist at PKL for the past 9 years. Diana continues to expand her knowledge of physical therapy through continuing education courses specializing in the orthopedic population.
Dr. Edward Stellato, PT
Eddie did his undergraduate studies at Hofstra University where he earned a bachelors degree in exercise science in 2009. In 2014 Eddie graduated from Stony Brook University with his doctorate in physical therapy. Since graduating Eddie has spent most of his time working in orthopedics/sports physical therapy settings as well as nursing and rehabilitation centers. Currently Eddie is working towards his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Anthony Morelli, PTA
Anthony Morelli PTA graduated deans list Nassau Community College 2016 with an Associates Degree in Applied Science. He joined our team in 2016 and he has become a great addition to our clinical team.
Thomas Mastandrea, PTA
I’ve been working as a aide at PKL physical therapy since for the last 5 years. I attended Suffolk community college and just graduated from the physical therapy assistants program as of this January. I plan on continuing my career at PKL as a PTA to fulfill the goals of all the patients that attend.
Patricia LoCurto, ATC
Trish LoCurto is a Certified Athletic Trainer, licensed in New York. She has been involved with a variety of collegiate sports teams and physical therapy clinics for over 13 years, including a short time with the Carolina Hurricanes. Trish has been an athlete her entire life, always making fitness a priority. Recognizing her passion for health and fitness, she became certified to teach Pilates, a Zumba instructor and is currently working towards becoming a RYT-200 yoga teacher. Her goal is to continue to provide motivation and inspiration to her patients. She strongly believes that if you are willing to put in the effort, you will see the change. She will be your biggest supporter all while continuing to challenge you.
Wilfred, Physical Therapist Aide
Meet Wilfred, a physical therapist aide at PKL Physical Therapy. Wilfred graduated from Stony Brook University May 2016 with a degree in Health Science with a concentration in disability studies and human development. He is on the path to becoming a physical therapist and will be applying to DPT programs. In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball, lifting, and video games.
Tyler, Physical Therapist Aide
Tyler graduated from Binghamton University in 2015 with a BS in chemistry. He has been working at PKL for a year and a half. In his free time he enjoys playing rugby.
Matt, Physical Therapist Aide
Matt is a physical therapist aide working at PKL. He graduated from Mount Saint Mary College with a bachelor’s in psychology and is currently attending SCCC working towards a physical therapist assistant degree. He hopes to become a physical therapist assistant in the near future and is working to advance his knowledge in weight training and fitness/personal training. Matt’s hobbies include staying active any way possible, whether it is exercising in the gym or being outside playing sports with friends, and listening to a variety of music.
Kirsten, Physical Therapist Aide
Kirsten is currently studying Exercise Science at Hofstra University. After her undergraduate work, she plans on attending PT school to become a physical therapist. Kirsten enjoys working as an aid with the wonderful PKL staff, and looks forward to continuing her education. She has been a long-time athlete, playing both soccer and beach volleyball, and she spends her free time outdoors. In the warm months, she enjoys kayaking and hiking.
Damon, Physical Therapist Aide
Damon is a physical therapy aid at PKL. He is currently studying Health Sciences at Stony Brook University. Once he graduates he hopes to enroll in a Physical Therapy program and receive his doctorate degree. Although he is new to PKL, he has a passion for helping people and is excited about the experiences ahead of him. In his spare time he enjoys camping, reading, and going to the beach.
Ashley, Physical Therapist Aide
Ashley enjoys creating a welcoming environment for patients and being able to see patients get better after every session. Ashley a graduate from Farmingdale State College plans on using her experience at PKL to pursue a Physical Therapy program in the near future.
Diana, Physical Therapist Aide
Diana is a physical therapy aide at PKL Amityville. She is a recent graduate from SUNY Binghamton, where she studied both mathematics and biology. She is continuing her education to get her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. In her free time, Diana enjoys doing puzzles, playing softball, listening to music, and going out with friends.
Courtney, Physical Therapist Aide
Courtney grew up in Amityville, NY. She attended St. John the Baptist high school in West Islip where she competed competitively in Track and Field. She then received her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from Florida Atlantic University in 2013. Courtney has been dedicated to our company for the past three years. Wanting to continue her education in the health care field, Courtney is currently finishing up her second degree in Respiratory Therapy.
Kim, Physical Therapist Aide
Kimberly is a recent graduate from Stony Brook University, where she earned a BS in Health Science with a concentration in Emergency and Critical Care. She is pursing a nursing career and is currently applying to nursing school. Kimberly enjoys lifting weights, arts and crafts, baking, playing the piano, and hiking.
Natalina, Physical Therapist Aide
Natalina is an aide at PKL physical therapy who is just finishing up her undergraduate at Adelphi University. She is studying exercise science and is also a member of the field hockey team at Adelphi. She is pursuing her doctorate in physical therapy at New York institute of technology starting in May of 2017.
Joan, Office Manager Amityville
Joan is the office manager of PKL Amityville. She has over 12 years of experience in worker’s comp and no fault billing. She has her AAS in Business Administration. She enjoys going to the beach, cooking and scrapbooking.
Christina, Office Manager Bethpage
Christina has been with PKL for 7 years. She started out as a receptionist in the Amityville office. When the Bethpage location opened, she became office manager at that location. She has over 5 years experience in physical therapy billing.
A graduate from CW Post with a Bachelor of Science, Laura has worked at PKL Physical Therapy for 7 years. Laura is an administrative assistant in the billing department, specializing in collections and workman’s compensation. She is a life long resident of Long Island and the mother of two teenage children. In her spare time enjoys making crafts, baking, and fishing with her family.
Nicole is a receptionist at PKL. She has been here for almost 2 years. Personable and friendly, Nicole always goes the extra mile to ensure patients are happy with their visit. “I get along great with all of the patients here as well as the staff. I recently graduated from LIU Post with my bachelors degree in broadcasting. My dream job is to be on the Radio or TV.” She also loves working with children, and enjoys concerts and Broadway plays.
Shannon has been working as a receptionist at PKL Physical Therapy for over two years. She is currently working toward a degree in clinical art therapy at LIU Post and an NSCA certification for personal training. As a nationally ranked powerlifter, she spends most of her free time training for upcoming competitions.
Susan, Receptionist Amityville
A new member of the PKL family, Susan has joined us in September as a receptionist in the Amityville Office. She studied Business in college and enjoys getting to know and work with the patients here at PKL. Susan has two grown sons and enjoys spending time with friends baking, painting and going to listen to disco music. She is looking forward to working here with such great people.
